I am 38 years old and I have SA/CRS. After high school, I went to a local state university about 30 minutes from my home. I received a full academic scholarship to attend, which was a huge blessing. In 2001, I graduated with a 3.9 grade point average, having majored in Elementary Education.
From college, I transitioned to employment. I taught school for three years locally, and then moved to Louisville, Kentucky to pursue my master’s degree. I graduated with my masters from Southern Seminary in 2007.
I have traveled to other countries on mission and humanitarian work in Mexico, Jamaica, France and Peru. These experiences have greatly enriched my life, and I cherish the opportunity to serve.
I met my husband, James, and after we married in 2008 I returned to teaching again. Then, in 2012 I had our son and became a stay-at-home mom. I continue to enjoy being a homemaker, and I am very active in volunteer work at my church and at my son’s school. I also assist my husband in his profession.
