Finding shoes that will fit over braces (AFOs) is difficult. Shoes must be wide and must open wide to accommodate braces. Here are some recommendations.

Nike Flyease were designed to be able to be put on easier with a zipper around the back of the shoes. But in some cases, they don’t stretch far enough on the top of the shoe. Hopefully, Nike will make some improvements to these shoes. For older kids, Nike basketball shoes are often wide enough to accommodate braces.
